A lot of modern day evangelism aims to convince people that life will be much easier if one follows the example of Jesus. If we look into the early teaching of Jesus we discover that the promise of a better life doesn't necessarily mean a more comfortable one that is free of cares. While this discovery may comes as a disappointment, the reality for many people is that the knowledge of Jesus being prepared to accompany them through life's challenges is a far more rewarding and reassuring outcome for them.
