Abraham is a figure who has captured the imagination of Jews, Christians and Muslims alike. Abraham provides a lesson on welcoming strangers. Its not common for people to perceive God as an outsider but there are many examples in the Bible where God is portrayed as such. Abraham's example of hospitality provides us with an opportunity to see how hospitality can present itself as an opportunity to meet God and to get to know him better.
